My political inexperience warranted my lost - Obour

Former MUSIGA president and Musician Bice Osei Kufuor aka Obour says he lost the Asante Akyem South parliamentary primaries because of political inexperience.

The former MUSIGA president-turned-politician who had wanted to unseat the incumbent MP, Kwaku Asante-Boateng to lead the NPP in the constituency into the December 2020 parliamentary election lost the primary by 68 votes.

Obour garnered 296 votes but lost to the incumbent MP who garnered 364 votes.

The other contenders, William Yamoah, secured 38 votes whilst Edmond Oppong Peprah secured 9 votes with Eric Amofa getting 12 votes.

“The delegates of the NPP have decided,” he said in his concession speech.
